Triangle Table Dining
Our reclaimed furniture range is available in a great selection of colours and are coated in a durable matt water resistant lacquer or equivalent finish.
Part of the charm of reclaimed furniture, as a natural, living material, is that it develops over time, this may not suit everyone. Changes (such as surface splits/spreading) may start to appear with the natural adjustment of the wood when it adjusts to a new environment, and there are likely to be imperfections in the wood, such as knots, holes (of all shapes and sizes), indentations, bumps, notches, different grains and the surface may not be completely flat or smooth (we always endeavour to get as uniform as possible).
This is all part of the character of reclaimed wood which can be hundreds of years old, has had a former life and gives reclaimed furniture a unique look and feel, as no two pieces will be exactly the same.
Some colour variation may also be expected between batches of wood - the appearance of the wood and exact colour may vary from the photos shown.
These distinctive qualities give reclaimed furniture a unique feel, as no two pieces will be exactly the same.
Some examples of character you can expect are below and please also see here for further examples/information.
Matt Water Resistant Lacquer or Equivalent
With a lacquer finish, the final finish will likely be a bit grainy and highlight the natural characteristics of the reclaimed wood. It can appear more rustic. It's typically a more robust finish, making it more durable against marking or staining and will also add more water resistance to the wood. This makes it a great option if you expect some staining or spillages.
For further details of the aftercare of our reclaimed range, please see the Reclaimed Furniture Aftercare Section of ourFAQ page.
Driftwood
Our Driftwood finish is typically a darker version of our Light Driftwood finish with a mix of natural wood tones and some similarities to a pine coloured wood.
Light Driftwood
Light Driftwood is a light, natural clear colour. Similar to a pine colour bringing out the natural colour and features of the timber.
Rugger Brown
Rugger Brown is a rich oak colour and the final finish will vary from a medium to a dark oak look depending on the timber used.
We can also apply a wash finish such as a grey or white wash should you be looking for something more bespoke and contemporary. A clear matt water resistant lacquer varnish will then be applied.
Grey Wash
Our Grey Wash is a light natural colour bringing out the character and natural colour of the timber together with subtle hints of grey which varies in different lights.
White Wash
This is a contemporary light stain, similar to a light beech finish.
We can also offer different finishes for the steel bases, just get in touch to discuss further.
